How do I pay my final energy bill when I move home (I pay by Direct Debit)?

Your final bill will take care of itself – as long as you don't cancel your Direct Debit.

How it works:

  • We automatically take your final payment within 14 days of your final bill
  • Or we automatically refund any credit within three working days of your bill
  • We then remove your bank details from our records

If you're taking us with you to your new home, we'll help you set up a new Direct Debit for your new home.

What happens if you cancel your Direct Debit?

You'll need to remember to make a payment within 14 days of getting your final bill.

If your account is in credit, we'll send your refund by cheque within seven working days of your final bill – as long as we have a forwarding address.

Tell us you're moving
Go to 'Move Home' in MyAccount to tell us you're moving. Do this up to 14 days before your move, or up to 90 days after it.
