Sizewell C, a proposed new nuclear power station in Suffolk, has the potential to generate the reliable low carbon electricity the country needs for decades to come. It will also make a lasting positive difference to the economy in the east of England.

So far, our project has been through three formal stages of public consultation with local communities in East Suffolk, providing an opportunity for the public to have their say. The feedback we've received, together with our technical assessments, will help shape our final proposals.

The project is being developed by EDF Energy, together with our long-standing partners CGN. Our joint experience of working together on a range of projects, including constructing two EPR reactors at Taishan in China, is bringing direct benefits to Hinkley Point C and will do the same for the Sizewell C project. Additionally, this partnership has plans to develop Bradwell B in Essex.
