Careers and development support from Hinkley Point C

Our education and skills programmes

HPC Inspire: for up to 16s

HPC Inspire is Hinkley Point C’s education programme for teachers and educators in the South West region. We provide curriculum and Gatsby Benchmarks-linked support through learning and careers resources, assemblies, workshops, careers insight programmes and films.

Young HPC: 16-21s

Young HPC is our skills and development programme to fast-track young people onto the project. We provide exclusive access to events with employers. Free development courses to help young people reach their potential. And careers tools, support and advice.

HPC Jobs Service: 16+

The HPC Jobs Service is the place to go to find job vacancies on the Hinkley Point C project. Students can register for free to receive alerts on different jobs. And the team are happy to give advice about roles on the project or the skills employers are looking for.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are a core part of our workforce at Hinkley Point C. We aim to create 1,000 apprenticeships during construction alone. It’s a great way to start your career, learn a skill for life and earn a good salary.

Careers Insight

Want to learn more about the various roles on site at Hinkley Point C? Take a look at our HPC Career Insights and Apprenticeships playlist on YouTube. There’s a huge range of films on different careers (e.g. welding, project controls and catering) featuring real-life stories from young people working on the project.

The Net Zero Challenge

This project-based activity for young people challenges them to help their community reach Net Zero. It’s an opportunity for young people to tackle climate change where they live. And it supports educators in meeting their curriculum and careers goals.
