This is the car for you if… you want fully electric van without compromising on performance.
So you've been waiting for an electric van with a payload to rival any petrol or diesel van currently on the market. One which doesn't scrimp on mileage. Well, wait no more! The Peugeot e-Expert has both in abundance. With an internal payload length of 3.6 metres and a WLTP range of over 200 miles, the e-Expert is a great option for anyone looking to switch to electric.
Designed for everyday use and available in three lengths and trim levels (talk to DriveElectric about the one for you), this electric van has been built to cater to all tastes. Similar in spec to the Citroen E-Dispatch, the e-Expert comes in various styles.
The Peugeot e-Expert is so good, Parkers have named it their electrified van of the year for 2021. You may or may not have already come across Peugeots other electric vehicles, the e-208 and the e-2008. Well, let it be known, the e-Expert runs on the same electric motor, which gives the e-Expert the equivalent of 136hp and an impressive range to boot.
What makes the e-Expert even more impressive is that Peugeot has managed to give this van a payload of over a tonne and a towing capacity to match, meaning it rivals the best mid-sized vans out on the road today.
The electric Expert also has an impressive 7" colour touchscreen display, which gives drivers a real-time view of their power, range and driving status. Choose between three driving modes: Eco: optimised to maximise range, Normal: optimised for comfort and Power: Optimised for performance when carrying heavy loads.
There's also a choice of on-board charging options too; A 7.4 kW single-phase charger comes as standard and is the most suitable for anyone intending to charge their van at home or at any public ChargePoint. Or for those with a three-phase supply, there is the option of an 11 kW onboard charger, which allows you to reduce your charging times, which is great news if you're running a fleet of vans. All e-Expert vans come with CCS rapid charging connections as standard allowing you to charge up to 80% in just 45 minutes. Giving you plenty of time for a quick pit stop and a bite to eat.
Another benefit of the new e-Expert is the MyPeugeot App. You can plan in several activities and control them remotely using the app. From starting, stopping and scheduling charging to energy-saving eco-driving tips. You can even pre-program the heating on those cold, crisp mornings, so the van is ready to go when you are. Unfortunately, it won't make you a morning coffee just yet but it will let you know when it's due.
Our three favourite e-Expert features
- Eco-Driving: It smooths acceleration and with the use of regenerative braking can save up to 15% of your vans range.
- The 100kW motor giving 136bhp provides instant acceleration with its immediate powertrain torque of 260 Nm.
- The coffee break alert feature, which activates after two hours of driving. Because you can never have enough coffee.
You’ll like the Peugeot e-Expert if you… want a long-range, powerful van, that really competes with the big boys and doesn't let you down when pulling those weights.
