How to fix a MyAccount set-up problem
We can give you the answer for your type of account, once we know what your account number starts with. You can find your account number in MyAccount, and on your EDF bills, emails and letters.
My account number starts with '67'
I haven't set up MyAccount yet
It's super quick and easy to set up MyAccount:
- Go to MyAccount
- Enter your email address and click 'Login'
- Choose 'Set up for home' at the bottom of the page
We'll then help you set a password so you can start managing your energy in MyAccount.
I didn't get an email to set my password
The email with your password set-up link normally reaches your inbox within a few minutes. If there's no sign of it, you can:
- Refresh your inbox
- Check your spam folders
- Ask us to resend your link
Still having no luck?
Go to MyAccount, enter your email address again, and coose 'Set up for home' again. Look at the bottom of the page that says 'Check your emails'. Click on the link that says 'set up your account manually' under 'Didn't get an email'.
My EDF accout details are 'wrong'
You need to set up MyAccount using:
- The same last name that appears on your bills (if more than one person is named on your bills, please set up MyAccount in the primary account holder's name)
- The account number that appears on your EDF bills, emails and letters
- The postcode of the address that your bills are sent to
If these details are different to the one you want to use for MyAccount, please get in touch.
My account number starts with 'A'
