Direct Debit Whole Amount: why you get an estimated bill

We'll ask you for a meter reading once a month – just before your next bill.

If we don't get your reading on time, we use an estimated reading to create your bill. And that means you get an estimated bill.

Your estimated meter reading is based on the latest information we have about your energy use. That's either the last readings you gave us, or what you told us about your energy use when you first switched to EDF.

Didn't want an estimated bill?

Send us a meter reading just after getting your estimated bill, and we'll cancel it. We'll then send you a new bill based on your meter reading.
