General terms and conditions – EDF Smart Install offer

1. 'We' or 'Us' or 'Our' refers to EDF.

2. To be eligible to take part in this promotion and receive the £100 credit, you must be a residential customer who has been emailed directly by us with the details of this promotion. In addition, you must not have a SMETS2 smart meter already installed at your property.

3. If you choose to use our online smart meter appointment booking service, you must provide a valid email address. We're not responsible for any invalid email addresses provided by you, which means that you're unable to access emails sent by us, allowing you to opt in to this promotion.

4. This promotion is subject to appointment availability.

5. Once we've verified the successful installation of the smart meter/s at your premises, a £100 credit will be added to your EDF account within 30 days of the date of your smart meter installation appointment. We'll notify you by email when this happens.

6. Only one credit can be claimed per household, and the maximum amount of credit is capped at £100.

7. The £100 credit amount is a non-cash award that cannot be transferred or withdrawn from the EDF account it's awarded to.

9. If we're unable to complete your smart meter installation for any reason deemed by us to be unreasonable, you'll not be eligible to receive the £100 credit. These reasons include but aren't limited to:

i. you cancel the smart meter appointment booking

ii. we need to cancel your smart meter appointment booking

iii. someone in your household over the age of 18 is not present throughout the duration of the smart meter installation

iv. we cannot safely access your meter(s)

v. any matters outside of our reasonable control

9. We won't respond to queries about non-receipt of credit unless the credit hasn't been received more than 30 days after the successful smart meter install appointment.

10. Any personal data collected during this process will be stored and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. This promotion is being monitored, and we reserve the right to cancel any smart meter installation appointments or seek to recover any credit that has been awarded where we reasonably suspect that there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions.

12. This promotion is effective from 01/05/2022. We reserve the right to suspend or end the promotion at any time without notice.

13. We reserve the right to change all or part of these Terms and Conditions on reasonable notice.

14. All disputes in relation to this scheme will be referred to the Head of Legal at EDF Energy Customers Limited for determination. Their conclusion will be final and binding on all parties.
