What is a tracker energy tariff?
Our tracker tariffs follow the Ofgem price cap, so you pay our standard variable rates but with a guaranteed discount on your standing charges. Your prices go up or down every three months, but you benefit from a guaranteed discount on your standing charges. They're different to fixed or standard variable tariffs.
Is a tracker tariff the same as a flexible tariff?
No, a tracker tariff is different from a flexible (standard variable) tariff. Our tracker tariff offers a reduction in standing charges.(2)

No, tracker tariffs cannot go above the price cap. Our tracker tariff offers customers savings against the price cap by giving discounted standing charges.

How often do tracker tariff rates change?
Most tracker tariffs track energy wholesale costs which change daily. Our tracker tariff is linked to Ofgem's price cap so prices can change on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July, and 1 October.

Can standing charges change on a tracker tariff?
Yes, standing charges can change, from time to time Ofgem will change the standing charges within the price cap, but you'll always receive your discount.
