EDF’s EV tariffs have off-peak rates ranging from 6.49 to 6.99p/kWh. Off-peak rates apply for 7 hours, from 11 pm to 6 am. The lowest off-peak rate available from competitors is 8p/kWh, and the longest off-peak window is 6 hours. Based on a comparison of similar tariffs shown on 26 March 2026 here: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/ev-energy-tariffs/. Correct as of 1 April 2026.
This tariff is backed yearly by 100% zero carbon nuclear electricity as standard. The UK fuel mix disclosure information published by the government (DESNZ) recognises electricity generated from wind, solar and nuclear produces zero carbon dioxide emissions at the point of generation. The zero-carbon electricity purchased is supplied to the National Grid. Customers receive electricity via the National Grid, not directly from zero-carbon generators. View our fuel mix
Based on using a 7kW home charger and EDF’s GoElectric tariff at 6.99p per kWh off-peak (11 pm-6 am) and a battery size of up to 100kW. Costs vary with battery size and charging efficiency. Correct as of 1 April 2026.
If you have opted into EDF's Smart Charging, you will receive a £5 credit on your monthly energy bill, which amounts to £60 annually. This credit will continue as long as you remain opted in and regularly use the Smart Charging schedule. Terms and conditions apply. Check if your car or charger is eligible.
Based on an EV achieving 3.5 miles per kWh and charging using EDF's GoElectric tariff at 6.99p per kWh off-peak (11 pm-6 am).

Standard installation is subject to meeting the home installation survey eligibility criteria. If you require works that aren't included in standard installation, Pod will provide a quote for the additional works, and you can choose whether you wish to proceed with Pod Drive. If Pod cannot offer you Pod Drive as part of this offer, EDF will waive your EDF EV tariff exit fee if you contact us to switch to a different EDF tariff.
Cashback is paid by Pod and is not part of your EDF tariff. Pod pay 8.05p per kWh for Smart Charging your EV with them. (Correct as at September 2025.) Pod refer to this cashback allowance as EV Miles.
'Smart Charge' refers to Pod's Smart Charging service. EDF's Smart Charging bolt-on is not available with Pod Drive.
