Posted May 23, 2025

EDF in the UK’s Customers business has been recognised as one of The Sunday Times’ Top 10 ‘Best Places to Work 2025’ in the Very Big Organisation (2,000+ employees) category.

The nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates the UK’s top employers – which number over 500 organisations, large and small.

EDF Customers was assessed against WorkL’s employee engagement survey, which is developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics and other independent parties to monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace. EDF attained one of the ten highest engagement scores within the 2,000+ employees grouping.

The achievement reflects the supplier’s ongoing commitment to improving employee experience, creating quality jobs across its three call-centre locations: Exeter, Hove, and Sunderland, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Philippe Commaret, Managing Director of EDF Customers, commented: “To be listed as a top 10 Very Big Organisation in The Sunday Times’ ‘Best Places to Work 2025’ list is a fantastic achievement. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we firmly believe creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our employees is the best way to deliver an excellent service for our customers.”

In 2023, the supplier embarked on a mission to transform its employee culture and drive better outcomes for its customers.

Since the start of EDF Customers’ transformation journey in 2023, EDF’s Trustpilot scores have climbed from a “good” (4.2) to “excellent” (4.7) rating, with EDF receiving over 110,000 5-star reviews.

Employee feedback from the Customers business has positioned the supplier as providing a world-class employee experience, ranking second place in Officevibe’s global Employee Experience Leader awards for having the highest employee engagement scores.
