Can I get reminders to top up?
You can get text or email reminders to top up by setting up low balance alerts at £5, or another amount you choose. Set up low balance alerts in MyAccount or in the app.
What if I run out of credit or can't top up?
There are some different options if you are running out of credit or can't top up, we are here to help.

How can I set up automatic top-ups?
Set up auto top-ups in MyAccount or in our App
You can choose when you want to top up your meter and by how much. We’ll take the payments automatically from your chosen debit or credit card.
Who can get a smart Pay As You Go meter?
If you have a prepayment meter and our installers are in your area, you can get a smart Pay As You Go meter installed. Find out if you are eligible in MyAccount.

How to get switch to Pay As You Go
Enjoy all the benefits of switching to Pay As You Go in three easy steps.
Step 1: Book an appointment
Log into MyAccount to book your smart meter installation. Choose a date and time that works best for you. If you can't find the appointment you want, please try again the next day.
Step 2: Have your smart meter installed
On the day of your installation appointment our installer will arrive and replace your old meters with a new smart meter. This takes about an hour for each meter.
Step 3: Get to know your in-home display
Our installer will leave you with a user guide. It'll explain how your smart meter and in-home display work.

We're ready to install your smart meter
The engineer will need to come into your home to complete safety checks, even if your meter is outside.
If anyone in your home develops coronavirus symptoms before, or on the day of the appointment, please reschedule for a later date.
