Posted November 14, 2024
  • A bespoke new heat pump system from EDF Heat Pumps and Ideal Heating is now available from as low as £3,500 in limited time offer for first 100 customers

  • The Heat Pump and Power Tracker tariff will also give new customers additional savings of at least £1,500

EDF and Ideal Heating are slashing the cost of heat pumps by £1,000 this autumn, in a bid to help more customers transition their properties entirely away from gas.

The limited time offer means eligible customers will save £1,000 when purchasing an Ideal air source heat pump system before 24th November, plus at least £1,500[1] in additional savings with the Heat Pump and Power Tracker Tariff.

Available via EDF Heat Pumps, the Heat Pump and Power Tracker Tariff offers customers a free 7-year warranty, servicing, and maintenance package worth £1,150[2], alongside ‘free electricity’ for the month of December 2025.

On top of this, the 3-year tariff also offers six hours of discounted zero carbon electricity(1) every day, all year round, saving at least £164 against Standard Variable prices; with the assurance of no exit fees or tie-ins.

Taking into account these discounts and the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Grant (or £9,000 for some rural areas in Scotland), a complete heat pump system that’s fully installed to suit each property’s individual requirements now starts from as low as £3,500.

Finance options are available to help customers spread the cost. With EDF’s new Recommendation Scheme, heat pump customers can also earn £250 cashback for themselves, and a £250 discount for their friend, with every referral.

Philippe Commaret, Managing Director of Customers at EDF, said: "We know that many households are eager to transition away from using gas as a fuel in their homes, but cost can be a significant barrier. That’s why, in partnership with Ideal Heating, we’re pleased to be launching a substantial discount on new heat pumps this autumn, making this greener option more affordable for customers.”

Mark Derbyshire, Managing Director (Sales and Marketing) at Ideal Heating said: “We are delighted to partner with EDF. By integrating our high-quality heat pump technology with EDF's extensive reach and resources, we aim to offer customers heating solutions that are both better for the environment and help customers save money. Plus, thanks to our comprehensive warranty packages, our heat pumps are backed up by guaranteed peace of mind.”

With more than 100 years’ experience in manufacturing and installing high-quality heat pumps nationwide, Ideal Heating offers unparalleled support with helplines open 364 days a year. Ideal’s flagship heat pump, Logic Air, is Quiet Mark Approved, officially making it one of the quietest models on the market.

To be eligible for the £1,000 discount, new or existing customers will need to sign up to purchase an Ideal Heating heat pump before 24th November 2024. The discount is available to the first 100 eligible customers. T&Cs apply. For more information on eligibility, click here.
