The Wind Turbines at Kluizendok, Belgium

This virtual tour explores the wind turbines at Kluizendok in Ghent, Belgium. Experience the view from a wind turbine summit and step inside a transformer for a tour. It’s one 114 wind turbines EDF Luminus has across Europe and their total capacity can supply green electricity to almost 141,000 households.

What we're doing

EDF Energy Renewables, a 50:50 Joint Venture between EDF Energy and EDF Energies Nouvelles, builds and operates more than 30 wind farms in the UK, with a total installed capacity of 598MW . We also operate an offshore wind farm just less than a mile off the north east coast, between the mouth of the River Tees and the town of Redcar. Total installed capacity is enough to fulfil the electricity needs of some 346,300 households.

We have two remote island wind farm projects planned on the Isle of Lewis, Stornoway Wind Farm and Uisenis Wind Farm. Both projects are fully consented, with support from the Scottish Government and ready for development.
