If you don't already have a compatible smart meter, you can still sign up to the GoDrive Anytime (single-rate) tariff while you wait for your smart meter to be installed. You can book a smart meter installation through MyAccount. We'll also send you an email reminder to get your smart meter at this time. The average wait time for a smart meter appointment is around 2-4 weeks. However, in some areas of the country, this may take longer.
Once you have a compatible meter, you can switch over to our GoDrive Charge-Free tariff, with 0p per kWh off-peak rates.
If you're unable to get a compatible smart meter installed or if there are any communication issues with your smart meter sending us the data we need, then a one-off credit of £112 will be applied to your account after all avenues to connect your smart meter have been exhausted.
On the GoDrive Charge-Free tariff, charging (between 12am to 5am GMT) will cost nothing for the term of the tariff (up to a maximum off-peak fair use policy of 4,000kWh). Outside of this window peak rates will apply. If you reach the fair use cap, don't worry, we'll let you know and switch you on to our Standard (Variable) tariff, which has no exit fees.
