Welcome to the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) application form

About Feed-in Tariffs

Feed-in Tariffs (FITS) are a scheme, set up by the Government offering customers a financial incentive for generating their own electricity through domestic renewable technologies, including:

  • Solar Photovoltaic (PV)
  • Wind turbines
  • Anaerobic digestion
  • Micro CHP generators

Scheme Closure Notice

Please be aware that due to the closure of the Feed in Tariff scheme, all systems must be commissioned on or before 31st March 2019 to be eligible. The scheme has limited capacity and you can read more about it here.

Export Tariff

If your installation is above 30kwh you can apply for the Export Tariff. To do this you need to fill in section 5 of this form.

Completing the form

The form should only take a few minutes to complete. Throughout the application you will be asked for the following information, so having this to hand will help speed up the process:

  • MPAN number
  • Company/Charity registration number
  • VAT registration number (if applicable)
  • MCS certificate (if you have one)
  • EPC number
  • ROO-FIT number (if applicable)
  • Your bank details for payment instructions
  • Generation meter details

Once you have completed the online application you’ll need to print and sign the form and return it to be eligible for FIT payments. You can either:

  • scan and email the form to us at feedintariffs@edfenergy.com; or
  • post the form to Freepost EDF CUSTOMER CORRESPONDENCE.

What happens once you’ve submitted your application?

Once we receive your application, it will be reviewed and submitted onto the central FIT register, which is administered by Ofgem. Ofgem will then contact us to inform us that the installation is registered. We will then send you our FiTS Statement of Terms which will detail the terms and conditions between you and EDF and all the necessary information you will need for the duration of the contract. Please review the Statement of Terms and sign and post it back to us at: Freepost EDF CUSTOMER CORRESPONDENCE

Payments

Once your installation is signed up to FITs we will back date your payments to the date we received the completed form. This will become your eligibility date.

A micro-business is defined by the government as a company that meets one of the following criteria:

  • Consumes no more than 100,000kWh of electricity a year, or
  • Consumes no more than 293,000kWh of gas a year, or
  • Employs fewer than 10 people (or their full-time equivalent) and has an annual turnover or balance sheet of no more than €2 million.
-

If you don’t meet any of the eligibility criteria you will not qualify for EDF Energy’s FIT scheme. For more information, please contact our Net Zero Hub Team at feedintariffs@edfenergy.com.

A voluntary FIT licensee must have fewer than 250,000 customers.

Off-grid relates to an installation site which doesn't receive an electricity supply from the national grid and which cannot export to a local distribution network. If this is the case, you won't be entitled to export payments and you must declare that all electricity generated is used onsite for your own consumption.

If your property is commercial your MPAN will be in the 'DNO details' section of your electricity invoice, or if your property is residential it will be in the 'About Your Charges' section of your invoice.

Do you have a smart electricity meter installed? (optional)
