One huge dose of low-carbon inspiration for your business

Pregnancy makes you think about the future in ways few other experiences can. These three stories alarmed me:

  1. 2016 is forecast to be the hottest year on record for our planet.
  2. Both January and February shattered records for the largest increases in global temperatures against long term averages.
  3. We could breach the 1.5C and 2C limits agreed at the Paris Climate Talks and unleash ‘dangerous climate change’ as soon as 2020 and 2030 respectively.

Frightening!

Sorry, I promised you inspiration.

Well you won’t find better than this: Al Gore last month at TED.

He’s fired up about how quickly the change to a low-carbon future is progressing and he includes some great business examples.

I urge you take the time to watch it. It’s 25 minutes and worth every second.

Short on time? Then why not listen to the talk on your smartphone during your commute (via the free TED app), or read this summary.

Inspired? Then make one easy low-carbon change: your business electricity supply

In just over one year, nearly two-thirds of our business customers have chosen to have their electricity supply backed by low-carbon sources. That’s incredible don’t you think?
