How to cancel my switch when I've switched within cool off

We hope you won't want to cancel your switch to us, but if you do, you should let us know straightaway. It might be that we can help if you're unhappy with any aspect of your energy plan.

If you'd rather go ahead and switch to a new supplier, you need to cancel your switch in MyAccount or contact us. Once your switch to a new supplier is in place, they'll get in touch when they need anything from us and share information like your opening meter reading(s), so we can close your account.

We'll also write to you to let you know about your cancellation options – and you have 15 working days to make a decision from when we send you this information. If you're registered for MyAccount, we'll share a copy of the letter here too.

While you decide what to do, you'll stay on the tariff you chose when you switched to EDF and you'll need to cover the cost of any energy you use during your time with us. After the 15 days are up, if you haven't picked a cancellation option or we haven't hear from you, you'll stay with EDF but move on to our deemed tariff.
