PPMID Revenue Collection TSG: Step 1 – Connectivity

All Pay as you go customers must be offered a PPMID, contact TSS if you are unable to commission a PPMID.

If customer is present and doesn't want smart meters without working IHD, then legacy prepay meters need to be installed. If customer is not present, then notice to be left to contact EDF Energy if they require an IHD.

Check ToughPad connectivity at meter position. If you are connected, you should see the Keepalive screen on ToughPad, like so.

Troubleshooting

If there’s no connection, you’ll see ‘This page can’t be displayed’ on ToughPad, like this.


Installer actions to rectify this:

  • Attempt to refresh the Keepalive screen on ToughPad. If successful, proceed to step 2.
  • If this doesn’t work, attempt to get signal within reasonable distance of the property. If successful, proceed to step 2.
  • If you still can’t get connected, contact TSS for next steps.
