Elec PAYG L&G TSG: Step 3 - Ready for commissioning

Wait for comms hub WAN and S/W lights to flash ‘Low Frequency Flash’, as shown below:


Comms Hub is now ready for commissioning.

Troubleshooting


You could experience several issues at this stage:

WAN LED Medium Frequency Flash more than 120 sec or WAN LED Off.

Installer actions to rectify this:



  • Hard reset Comms Hub, if successful proceed to step 4.
  • If unsuccessful change Comms Hub once, if this is successful return Comms Hub 1 to peli-locker and proceed to step 4.


After trying the steps above, if this is still unsuccessful return Comms Hubs 1 and 2 to peli-locker as faulty and confirm the customer is happy to have an aerial installed:


  • If the customer is happy to have an aerial installed: Change the SKU1 Comms Hub to a SKU2 with T1 aerial, fill out aerial detail as 'True' and select 'COMP, ALL OK', include #T1 in the comments field and retain the SKU1 Comms Hub for use on another job. If this is successful, proceed to step 4.
  • If this is unsuccesful, change the T1 aerial to a T2 aerial, fill out the aerial detail as 'True' and select 'COMP', 'All OK', ensuring you include #T2 in the comments section. If successful, proceed to step 4 (install GSME and PPMID as usual).
  • If still no WAN, fill out aerial detail as 'True' and complete the job as 'COMP', 'COMPLETE OTHER EXCEPTIONS', 'INSTALL AND LEAVE' ensuring your include #T2 in the comments section.
  • If the customer is NOT happy to have an aerial or we cannot physically fit an aerial:  Re-install exisiting Legacy Prepay meter or if the existing meter is damaged: Install new Legacy Prepay meter.


WAN LED off


Installer actions to rectify this:


  • If the customer has debt on the Legacy Prepay meter, reinstall existing Legacy Prepay meter or if the existing meter is damaged install a new Legacy Prepay meter.
  • If the customer does not have debt on the Legacy Prepay meter, then offer customer a SMETS2 Credit meter and go through the quote process on site OR reinstall exisiting Legacy Prepay meter OR if the meter is damaged installed a new Legacy Prepay meter. If this is unsuccessful contact TSS.
