Blank display on electricity prepayment meter (not smart)

You can do a few things if your electricity prepayment meter's display has gone blank.

1. The first thing to do is check your power:

  • Have any of your trip switches flipped to the 'off' position (only check if it's safe to do so)?

Yes? Reset the switches by flipping them back to the 'On' position – or ask your landlord or an electrician to do this for you.

  • Is there a power cut in your area?

Yes? Contact your local network operator to find out what's happening. You should also turn off your electrical appliances, as they could get damaged by the power surge when your electricity comes back on.

2. The next thing you can do is get an electrician to check your wiring:

If your power seems to be okay, you might want to get a qualified electrician to look at your wiring.

If you're still sruggling to work out what the problem is, you can get in touch with us. We'll try to help you sort things out.
