Who regulates the energy markets?

Electricity and gas supply in the UK is regulated by Ofgem (the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets). As a supplier, EDF have electricity and gas supply licences, which are issued by Ofgem. These licences lay out conditions we must follow to provide energy.

If we don’t meet the conditions of our licence

If Ofgem think a supplier’s failing to meet the conditions set out in a supply license they can investigate their performance. If need be, they’ll take action to make sure the supplier puts things right.
