When will I get my final bill when I change supplier?
You should get your final bill within six weeks of the switch to your new supplier.
Sometimes your electricity and gas supply are switched on different days. If this happens, you might get a final bill for electricity and another final bill for gas.
Why it can take a little longer
We'll work with your new energy supplier to make your switch as smooth as possible. But sometimes it can take a little bit of time to sort out your final meter reading.
You give your opening meter reading to you new supplier when you switch. They pass this back to us, so we can use it to close your account.
If the reading doesn't look right compared to your previous meter readings, we'll have to work with the other company to sort this out. This is why your final bill can get delayed.
