My electricity meter isn't safe – what do I do if I see sparks or smoke, or smell burning?

Please call 105 if you spot damage to a electricity meter or think it's not safe. Then follow these steps:

1. If there’s a serious immediate risk of fire or injury, you should call the emergency services on 999
2. Turn off as many appliances as you can – but only if it is safe to do this – and leave your property
