How you pay emergency credit back on a smart PAYG meter

If you dip into your emergency credit, it automatically gets topped back up next time you add credit to your smart Pay As You Go meter.

This means you'll need to top up with enough credit to cover:

  • The amount of emergency credit you've used
  • Any daily standing charges you've missed
  • Any debt repayments you've missed (we don't charge these while your meter is using emergency credit)
  • Your ongoing energy use
