How to get a refund when moving home
We can give you the answer for your type of account, once we know what your account number starts with. You can find your account number in MyAccount, and on your EDF bills, emails and letters.
My account number starts with '67'
Go to 'Move Home' in MyAccount to tell us you're moving out. You'll need to do this for electricity and gas separately, if we supply both fuels.
We'll then arrange a credit refund or transfer – as long as you give at least two days' notice:
- If you're taking us to your new home, we'll simply transfer the credit to your new prepayment meter
- If your new home is with another supplier, we'll send you a cheque to your new address
