How to fix a MyAccount log-in problem
We can give you the answer for your type of account, once we know what your account number starts with. You can find your account number in MyAccount, and on your EDF bills, emails and letters.
My account number starts with '67'
I've forgotten my password
- Go to MyAccount
- Enter your email address and click 'Login'
- Click 'Forgotten password' where we ask for your password
- Choose how would you like to log in:
- Request a code to log in and we'll send a code to your registered email along with instructions on where to use it. Then enter this code when requested to access MyAccount. Your password will not change.
- Reset your MyAccount password and we'll send instructions to your registered email address on how to change your password. You'll then be able to log in using this new password.
Don't share your log in code with anyone

You can click the link below to find your email address. You'll need your account number, which you'll get from your bills, EDF emails and letters, or contract pack.
I've just changed my email address
If you've asked us to change your email address, we'll have sent you an email with a link to verify your new address.
If you don't click on the link to verify your email address within 48 hours, you'll need to log in to MyAccount with your old email. You can then go to About me to ask us change your email again.
Once you've verified your new email, you won't be able to log in with your old email address.
I'm trying to log in for the first time
You need to set up MyAccount before you can log in for the first time – it's super quick and easy:
- Go to MyAccount
- Enter your email address and click 'Login'
- Choose 'Set up for home' at the bottom of the page
We'll then help you set a password so you can start managing your energy in MyAccount.
My account number starts with 'A'
