How do I pay my final energy bill when I switch supplier (I pay by Direct Debit)?

Your final bill will take care of itself – as long as you don't cancel your Direct Debit.

How it works:

  • We automatically take your final payment within 14 days of your final bill
  • Or we automatically refund any credit within three working days of your bill
  • We then remove your bank details from our records

What happens if you cancel your Direct Debit?

You'll need to remember to make a payment within 14 days of getting your final bill. If your account is in credit, we'll send your refund by cheque within seven working days of your final bill.
