Direct Debit: when a full bill can be taken as you first payment

We can give you the answer for your type of account, once we know what your account number starts with. You can find your account number in MyAccount, and on your EDF bills, emails and letters.
 

My account number starts with '67'

You get to choose how you want to pay off your outstanding balance when you first switch to Direct Debit.

If you choose to pay it by Direct Debit, you'll see your outstanding balance come out of your bank as one of your first payments.

My account number starts with 'A'

We've given you the answer for account numbers starting with '67' – this is our most common type of account.
