Budget Direct Debit and your debt repayment plan

We can give you the answer for your type of account, once we know what your account number starts with. You can find your account number in MyAccount, and on your EDF bills, emails and letters.

My account number starts with '67'

When you agree to set up an repayment plan, you choose how much debt you're going to pay off each month.

Your monthly repayment will come out of your bank at the same time as your monthly payment for your ongoing energy use.

For example:

  • You pay £200 per month for you electricity and gas
  • Your debt repayment is £50 per month
  • You'll see £250 come out of your bank in one payment

Will my debt repayment amount change?

No, you agree to the amount of debt you can afford to pay off each month, and this won't change.

But your monthly payment for your electricity and gas use can go up or down at several points during the year, depending on your energy use.

We'll always let you know if your monthly payments for your ongoing energy use are going to change.

Why it's important to keep up with your repayments
Please keep up with your debt repayments once you've set up a plan. If you miss a payment, we’ll start our debt recovery process.
