Why is my energy use in Energy Hub and in-home display different?

Your Energy Hub and in-home display data both stem from your smart meter readings, but cover different time periods.

The data you see is also updated at different times:

- Your smart electricity meter is updated in real time.

- Your smart gas meter is updated every half hour.

- Your Energy Hub takes at least a few days to process your data.

Your Energy Hub also shows you more detail, including your energy trends and energy-saving advice. It can give you a personalised view of the energy you use on things like lighting, heating and cooking, once you've created a quick energy profile.
