Why didn't my card payment work?

Here are some common reasons for a payment not going through:

- Not enough funds in the bank

- Card’s credit limit exceeded

- Wrong card details (e.g. card number, expiry date, security code)

- Strong Customer Authentication failed

What is Strong Customer Authentication?

Banks are making online payments more secure with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). As the changes bed in, you might find your payment card doesn't work from time to time.

You can keep trying the same card – as the security block can be temporary – or use another card.
