How do I top up my meter manually using my UTRN on my in-home display unit?

Sometimes you have to manually add the credit onto your Pay As You Go meter – for example, you're running out of credit, you've topped up, but your credit hasn't reached your meter

You can make sure you're not disconnected by entering your UTRN onto your in-home display.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Press 'Menu' on your in-home display; use the arrows to get to 'Apply top-up code'; then press 'OK'.

2. Use the arrows and 'OK' to enter each digit of your UTRN (if you make a mistake, just press the back arrow).

3. Once you've entered the final digit and pressed 'OK', you'll see 'Top-up sent' followed by 'Top up Accepted'.

4. Your credit will now be on your meter – but it can take up to 30 minutes to see your gas credit on screen, as your gas meter display only updates every half hour.
