Our Green Tariff helps contribute to green projects – and you won’t have to go into the red to make a real difference.

How does our Green Tariff work?

  • Sign up to our Green Tariff and promote the generation of renewable energy, as we will buy renewable energy (from wind or water power for example) equal to the amount you use on this tariff
  • We’ll match the little extra you pay for our Green Tariff pound for pound and invest the total into the Green Fund for investment in renewable energy projects run by community and educational organisations
  • We’ll cover all the administration costs so every penny you pay goes to green causes

We’ll also reward your commitment to help combat climate change because every Green Tariff customer gets:

  • A free home energy survey
  • A free energy efficiency guide
  • 2 free energy-saving light bulbs

Our Green Tariff only covers electricity but you can choose it as part of our Dual Fuel package.

A little bit more, but a lot less than you probably imagine:

  • Only 0.42p extra for every unit of electricity (inc. VAT)*
  • Around £13.86 (inc. VAT) a year for a typical customer*

And remember every penny of the extra you pay goes to support green causes through the Green Fund.

*Green Tariff cost estimates based on a typical customer with an annual electricity consumption of 3300 kWh.

For each year that you remain on our Green Tariff we will:-

(a) take reasonable steps to ensure that we purchase from green generators a volume of green energy equivalent to the volume of electricity supplied to you by us in such year. However, we will not be liable if events beyond our control reasonably prevent us from doing so.

(b) Your Green tariff contribution together with Our Green Tariff contribution will be paid into a fund and will be used to invest in the development of future green energy.
