Dear SSG Member,

As a member of our community, I believe it is important to keep you updated on any developments at the power station. I wanted to write to you about our response to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.

Over the past few weeks we have been taking what steps we can to try to prevent the situation from impacting the station. This has included changing our working practices and limiting the number of people coming onto site.

We have detailed pandemic flu plans in place and we are working through them. These include plans to be able to work safely with a reduced workforce, as we do at other times of the year.

We are in regular contact with our colleagues at the ONR and in Government to ensure they are up to date with our current actions.

Maintaining the safety of the site while protecting the health and well-being of the people who work here is our over-riding priority at this time and I can assure you that we will continue to operate with this in mind as this situation evolves.

I hope this information is useful to you as a member of the Site Stakeholder Group. Should you wish to ask any questions please feel free to ring the Station on 01294 826000 and ask for our Communications Officer, Nikki Thomson.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Forrest
Station Director
