Can I get a new boiler grant?
In the UK there are government schemes available to help you get a new boiler. Even if you're not eligible for government support, there are other schemes and finance options that can help you on your way to a warmer home.
The Energy Saving Trusts estimates that buying and fitting a new boiler with thermostatic valves typically costs around £4,000. And as heating makes up about 55% of the average household energy bill, you could save hundreds on your energy bills each year with a new, more energy-efficient boiler.

Warmer Homes Scotland Scheme
What is it?
Warmer Homes Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government. It provides energy saving home improvements to eligible households who are struggling with the cost of their energy bills; making homes warmer, more comfortable and more affordable to heat.
What can you get?
Eligible homeowners can get energy saving measures such as central heating, loft and wall insulation, draught-proofing and renewable systems for generating your own energy.
Who qualifies for a free replacement boiler through Warmer Homes Scotland?
The scheme is for homeowners and private sector tenants in Scotland who are struggling to pay for their energy, and have lived in their property for at least twelve months.

Nest: Energy efficiency measures in Wales What is it?
The Nest scheme offers a range of free impartial advice and if you're eligible, a package of free home energy efficiency improvements such as a new boiler, central heating, insulation or solar panels.
This can lower your energy bills and benefit your health and wellbeing.
What can you get?
The Welsh government's Nest scheme offers home energy efficiency improvements to homeowners and tenants in private property.
Who qualifies for a replacement boiler grant through NEST?
Nest is for low-income homeowners and private-sector tenants in Wales who are receiving means tested benefits – or have a chronic respiratory, circulatory or mental health condition.

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) will run from April 2022 until April 2028 in England and Wales.

What about grants for oil boilers?
None of the government boiler replacement schemes include oil boiler grants. But there are grants available to replace oil boilers (or any non-renewable heating system) with a renewable energy system, such as a heat pump or solar panels.

What is a BOXT boiler?

If you can't get government support, then our BOXT initiative is a way to replace your boiler without paying everything upfront. It allows you to pay by monthly instalments, instead of the whole amount in one go.
What can I get?
You can get an A-rated boiler, flue, attachments and Gas Safe registered installation from £1,795 (including VAT). The price includes everything: parts, labour and warranty.
If you find exactly the same deal cheaper elsewhere, BOXT will either beat the like-for-like price by £50, or give you a free £50 Amazon voucher.
How fast can you get your new boiler?
If you buy a new boiler online by 3pm, BOXT will fit it for you the next day (subject to availability).
Who can get a boiler through BOXT?
Anyone can pay for a new boiler through our BOXT scheme. So if your boiler is old and unreliable, or you want improve your entire central heating system, it could be the option of you.

Can't afford the upfront cost of a new boiler, but not eligible for a boiler grant? You might still be able to get your new boiler installed without having to pay anything upfront – with 0% boiler finance deals.
Interest-free loans let you pay off your boiler over 1-2 years without paying any interest. Please remember to take installation costs into account when you compare 0% finance boiler deals.
A 0% spending credit card is another option. It gives you the flexibility to arrange your own installation, but still spreads the cost of your new boiler over a number of months, interest-free.
