Article: We need nuclear now to ensure right mix of low-carbon energy

In an article published in the Daily Telegraph, Chairman of the Nuclear Industry Association and former Cabinet Minister John Hutton argues that “nuclear provides a reliable, low-carbon source of baseload power which can complement the further expansion of renewables.”

Lord Hutton argues that investment in projects like Hinkley Point C nuclear once again put Britain at the “vanguard” of civil nuclear development while creating “tens of thousands of skilled jobs” and involve a “large and capable supply chain”.
