Freedom for business
Things you need to know about your tariff:
- This is a variable tariff, your rates may go up or down.
- By paying by direct debit you’ll receive a discount.
- There are no exit fees.
Fixed for Business Online
To be eligible for this tariff you will need to have:
- By paying by direct debit you’ll receive a discount.
- Agreed to have a smart meter installed if you don't have one already.
Other things you may need to know:
- This is fixed tariff, both the period and prices are fixed.
- The tariff starts from the date you agree the tariff
- By paying by direct debit you’ll receive a discount.
- Exit fees apply.
- At the end of the tariff you’ll be automatically put onto Freedom for Business.
Export Variable
Our Export Variable tariff is available to customer who:
- Receive their electricity from another supplier or from EDF at the start of this Agreement
- Have an installed generation capacity which consists of Anaerobic Digestion (AD), solar photovoltaic (PV), onshore wind, hydro generation only or micro combined heat and power (micro-CHP) and you will only export electricity to us from this installation.
- You will only use these installations to export electricity as part of this agreement.
- Have an export meter installed capable of recording readings at half hourly intervals and preferably auto sends readings.*
- The Total Installed Capacity of the installation is 5MW or less (or 50kW or less for micro-CHP). This tariff does not make payments for capacity above this cap.
- Have provided an MCS certificate (or an alternative that satisfies equivalent standards to MCS as determined by EDF at its discretion) for the installation.
- Have a DNO letter for the installation.
- Have confirmed you do not receive or benefit from the FIT Export Tariff or receive Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) payments from another energy supplier.
* Your smart meter needs to be continuously communicating with us so we can set you up on Export tariff and be able to bill you based on your half hourly meter reads. If the meter is not capable of sending us half-hourly readings automatically, you will provide actual readings from the export meter every quarter or sooner when requested.
Other things you may need to know about your tariff:
- The prices are variable - so the price we pay for your export may change but we’ll give advance notice
- Export Variable tariff starts once the export MPAN for the installation is registered with us. We’ll confirm the start date once we know more details about your installation.
- You can end this Agreement at any time by giving us 28 days written notice, and if you are a residential customer, can cancel it within 14 days of it starting.
- There are no exit fees for cancelling or ending the Agreement.

Export Variable Value
Our Export Variable Value tariff is available for customers who:
- Receive their electricity supply from EDF at the start of this Agreement - we may switch you to the Export Variable tariff if you switch to another electricity supplier during the Term of this Agreement and we will notify you if we do this.
- Have an installed generation capacity which consists of Anaerobic Digestion (AD), solar photovoltaic (PV), onshore wind, hydro generation only or micro combined heat and power (micro-CHP) and you will only export electricity to us from this installation.
- You will only use these installations to export electricity as part of this agreement.
- Have an export meter installed capable of recording readings at half hourly intervals and preferably auto sends readings.*

Export 12m
- Have installed generation capacity that consists of anaerobic digestion (AD), solar photovoltaic (PV), onshore wind, hydro generation, or micro combined heat and power (micro-CHP).
- Will only export electricity to EDF under this tariff, and do not have any other export arrangements in place.
- Have an export smart meter installed which is capable of recording readings at half-hourly intervals.*
- A Total Installed Capacity of 50kW or less. This tariff does not make payments for capacity above this cap. If your capacity is above this cap, please contact us to ask about our Export Variable tariffs.
- Have an MCS certificate for the installation.
- Have a DNO letter for the installation.
- Are a residential customer of EDF, supplied by EDF for their electricity at their home.
- Have confirmed they do not receive or benefit from the FIT Export Tariff or receive Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) payments from another energy supplier.
* Your smart meter needs to be continuously communicating with us so we can set you up on Export tariff and be able to bill you based on your half hourly meter reads. - The Export 12m tariff starts once the export MPAN for your installation is registered with us. We’ll confirm the start date once we know more details about your installation.
- There are no exit fees for cancelling or ending the Agreement.
- We will switch you to our Export Variable tariff if you switch to another electricity supplier during the Term of the Agreement. We will tell you when we do this along with the prices and terms that will apply.

Former Tariff Customer Scheme / Tariff (Core) / Standard (Variable)
If you have not changed energy supplier since 2001 and have never signed a Fixed-term contract with EDF Energy, your electricity is supplied under the Terms and Conditions of a scheme known as the Former Tariff Customer Scheme, which was set up in 2001.
All pricing information shown in these Terms and Conditions refers to the original variable prices that applied when the Terms and Conditions were first issued. These prices have subsequently changed several times, as permitted by the Terms and Conditions.

Prepayment
If you have not changed energy supplier since 2001 and have never signed a Fixed Term contract with EDF Energy, your electricity is supplied under the Terms and Conditions of a scheme known as the Former Tariff Customer Scheme, which was set up in 2001.
All pricing information shown in these Terms and Conditions refers to the original variable prices that applied at the time the Terms and Conditions were first issued. These prices have subsequently changed on a number of occasions, as permitted by the Terms and Conditions. See prices below.
