What's a QR code?

It’s the little black square box that holds all the info we need. Make sure the image you send us is just your QR code and not your whole bill.

For the best results:

  • Make sure there’s enough light
  • Zoom in on the QR code
  • Make sure the picture is clear, not blurry

The table above shows the estimated percentage of households that would see at least a £200 saving in each region. Our calculation is based on industry and EDF Energy data to estimate the current prices paid by customers in each region. The key assumptions and information used are:

  1. Ofgem publish figures showing that between 50%-90% of GB households with one of the largest six suppliers are on Standard Variable Tariffs
  2. Cornwall Energy Associates, a third party, provides a breakdown of how many accounts per region are with each supplier
  3. EDF Energy’s shape of customer consumption. We then assume that other suppliers have a similar distribution of customer consumption to EDF Energy

Combining these enables an estimate of the number of customers in each region that are with each supplier and on Standard Variable for electricity and gas, and the range of bill values based on the assumed range of consumptions. Against this we compare the relative savings that these customers’ could make on EDF Energy’s tariff and calculate the percentage of all customers in that region that could save £200.
