Pretty Curious aims to inspire teenage girls to imagine a future where they use STEM – science, technology, engineering and maths - to help make a difference.
The Pretty Curious Studio has already taken the fun and excitement of STEM to thousands of girls throughout the country. Studio workshops challenge girls creatively and give them the opportunity to explore and experience the career possibilities available by pursuing STEM subjects at school.
Once again, we’re inviting Year 8 and 9 girls to take part in our Pretty Curious Studio workshops. This is an exciting opportunity for students to explore virtual reality, try their hand at coding, create their own ‘smart gadgets’ and simply uncover the science behind the every day. As well as developing new skills, all our events are facilitated by inspiring role models in STEM careers.
The workshops are FREE, refreshments are included and we can contribute to transport costs (up to £50). Available sessions are as follows:
- Kent Showground, ME14 3JF - 17th and 18th October
- Yorkshire Event Centre, HG2 8NZ - 7th and 8th November
- University of Exeter, EX4 4SB - 28th and 29th November
