Warm Home Discount Scotland Broader Group Scheme 2026/27

Terms and Conditions

1. About the Scheme

The Warm Home Discount Scotland Broader Group Scheme (the "Scheme") provides a £150 rebate to eligible households in Scotland ("Rebate").

The Rebate may be provided as:

  • a credit to your electricity account;
  • a voucher for traditional prepayment customers;
  • a payment applied directly to a Smart Pay As You Go meter; or

Where the Rebate is applied as a credit to an account, it will be applied to the electricity account.

The method used to provide the Rebate will be determined by EDF based on your payment type and account arrangements.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for the Scheme:

i) your property must be located in Scotland;

ii) EDF must supply the electricity to the property at the time of application;

iii) you, or another named electricity account holder living at the property, must meet one or more of the Scotland Broader Group eligibility criteria published by EDF for the 2026/27 Warm Home Discount scheme year;

iv) you must complete any application, verification or evidence requirements requested by EDF or organisations acting on EDF's behalf; and

v) you must continue to be supplied with electricity by EDF until the Rebate is paid.

Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee payment of a Rebate.

3. One Rebate Per Household

Only one application may be made per eligible household.

A household can receive only one Warm Home Discount rebate for the 2026/27 scheme year.

If a customer applies through the Scotland Broader Group and is later identified as eligible for the Warm Home Discount Core Group, any Scotland Broader Group application or payment may be withdrawn or removed, as appropriate. The rebate will then be provided through the Core Group.

4. Application Period

Applications open on 27 October 2026.

EDF may close applications:

i) when the Scheme target has been reached; or

ii) on 28 February 2027; or

iii) at any earlier date which EDF reasonably considers necessary.

Applications received after the Scheme closes will not be considered.

5. Verification and Evidence

EDF may require you to provide evidence to support your application and confirm eligibility.

Any evidence requested must:

  • be accurate and complete;
  • relate to the applicant, partner or household as applicable; and

Failure to provide requested evidence may result in an application being declined.

EDF reserves the right to reject applications where information supplied is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent.
