Stacy Walker, Stakeholder Relations Manager

Stacy is responsible for bringing Hinkley Point C closer to the local community, making sure residents have opportunities to ask questions, share concerns and stay informed about the project. She spends much of her time out in the community, hosting local drop-ins and attending community forums, where she is available to listen and answer questions.

As part of the Hinkley Point C Community Relations team, one of the things I enjoy most about my role is getting out into local communities and talking to people.

A question I am often asked is: “How do I actually get in touch with Hinkley Point C?”

The good news is, there are lots of ways to contact us – and you don't have to wait for a formal meeting to get involved.

Whether you have a question, a concern, or simply want to find out more about what’s going on, we can help.

Pick up the phone or send us an email
Sometimes, the simplest way to get an answer is to ask.
Our phone number comes directly to us at Hinkley Point C. Sacha is based in our Visitor Centre, in Cannington Court, and will be ready to answer your call between 9am-5pm. After 5pm, your call will go through to our out of hours team.
You can also contact the team by email, which can be particularly useful if you have a more detailed enquiry.
Phone line: 0333 009 7070
Email: hinkley-enquiries@edf-energy.com

And if you are not sure whether your question is something we can help with, don't worry. Get in touch anyway. We can make sure your enquiry reaches the right team.

Come and talk to us
Another great way to find out what is happening at Hinkley Point C is to come along to a forums. We have three different forums, each with a slightly different focus.

Community Forum
The Community Forum provides a wider opportunity for local communities and representatives to hear about the latest developments at Hinkley Point C, ask questions and raise issues that matter to them.

Main Site Forum
The Main Site Forum focuses particularly on communities closest to the main construction site. It provides an opportunity to hear the latest updates and discuss matters that are particularly relevant to those living nearby.

Transport Forum
The Transport Forum focuses on transport and logistics associated with the project.
Transport is an important subject for local communities, and the forum provides an opportunity to discuss issues such as construction traffic, road use and the measures we have in place to manage the impact of Hinkley Point C on the local road network.

The important thing about all three forums is that they aren't simply about us standing up and giving a presentation, we welcome conversation. We want to hear what people think, what is working well and, just as importantly, what could be improved.

Not everyone wants to attend a formal meeting – and we completely understand that. That’s why getting out into the community is such an important part of my role. Community walks are a great example. They give me the opportunity to get out and about, see things for myself and speak directly with residents about the issues that matter to them.

We also visit local community spaces.

Regular visits include Nether Stowey Library and The Green in Wembdon, giving residents the chance to come and have an informal chat with members of the Hinkley Point C team, often with a cup of tea and cake!

I particularly enjoy these visits because they often lead to some of the most useful conversations.

Keep up to date with Plugged in

How is Hinkley Point C benefiting the local community?

Alongside Hinkley Point C’s vital role in providing the country with secure low-carbon electricity, I’m very proud of the significant benefits we provide to our local communities. Maximising the benefits of Hinkley Point C has been a long term collaborative effort, but one which I’m confident will also lead to much longer term opportunity for people and businesses across Somerset and the Sout West.

Supporting Local Tourism - Free Beach Parking at Brean and Berrow this Summer

Hinkley Point C is helping to make a trip to the seaside a little more affordable this summer by providing free parking at both Brean and Berrow beach car parks. Available throughout the school holidays and into October, the initiative is part of Hinkley Point C’s support for tourism businesses in Brean. The initiative has already proved extremely successful with visitors to the beach more than double the number seen in July last year.

What can this ship teach us about the future of nuclear construction?

This summer, a ship sailed quietly out of Bristol Port bound for Hinkley Point C in Somerset for the last time. After more than 100 sailings, the voyage marked the end of a first-of-a-kind innovation that is transforming nuclear construction in Britain.
