What is Power Perks?
Turn flexible energy use into free electricity. Get rewarded with free electricity when there’s plenty of renewable energy on the grid.
Power Perks is an exclusive Flextras reward for customers on selected smart time of use tariffs.
When there’s more renewable electricity available than the grid needs, we’ll let you know when you can use electricity for free. Simply use electricity during these periods and the cost of your electricity will be covered.
It’s a simple way to get more from your tariff and make the most of renewable energy when it’s available.

When will I see my Free Electricity credit on my bill?
We'll calculate your Free Electricity credit based on how much electricity you used during the Free Electricity event and the unit rate on your tariff at that time.
Your credit will usually be added to your EDF account during the first week of the month after the event takes place. For example, if you take part in an event in October, you'll normally see the credit added in the first week of November.
To calculate your credit, we need complete smart meter readings from the event period. If your readings are missing, delayed or incomplete, we may not be able to apply a credit.
Any credit will be added directly to your EDF account and can't be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person, or moved to another energy account.
If we ever make a mistake and credit too much or too little, we'll correct this by adjusting future credits or your account balance where needed.
