Get rewarded with Weekend Saver
Small changes can add up to rewards.
Weekend Saver rewards customers who use less electricity during weekday peak times. The more you shift your use outside these peak hours, the more free electricity you could earn to use at weekends.
Get 25 hours of free electricity a month when you use less than 9% of your weekday electricity between 4–7pm.(1)

What are peak times?
Peak times are Monday to Friday, 4pm to 7pm.
Do I need to opt in every month?
No. Once you've opted in, you'll automatically be enrolled in monthly challenges until the end of the current participation period.
When do I receive my free electricity?
Free electricity hours are awarded based on monthly performance and are redeemed the following month. The value of the free electricity used is credited to the customer's EDF energy account following redemption.
Can I choose when to use my free electricity hours?
Yes. Customers can select their preferred weekend time slots between 12am and 3pm at weekends through the app.
Am I eligible for Weekend Saver?
Eligibility criteria apply. Customers must be signed up to Flextras, use the EDF app, have a compatible smart meter providing half-hourly readings and be on an eligible tariff. Time of Use tariffs are excluded.
How do I refer someone?
You can access your unique referral link through your EDF account and share it with friends and family.
When will I receive my reward?
Rewards are usually applied to both accounts within 30 days of the referred customer making their first Direct Debit payment, although timings may vary.
When won't a reward be paid?
A reward will not be paid if:
- The referral link is not used.
- The referred customer cancels their switch.
- The referred customer is already an EDF customer.
- The referred customer has been an EDF customer within the previous 12 months.
- The referral cannot be successfully validated.
