How can Energy Hub help me?
Imagine running a cozy little bakery. Your ovens are usually working round the clock, especially during the festive season. One winter, you notice a spike in your energy consumption that doesn’t quite align with previous winters. Using the Energy Hub tool, you discover your energy consumption has increased during the hours that the ovens are on, you investigate further and find that your oven seals have worn out causing the ovens to work harder and therefore consume more energy. Fixing this issue not only brings your energy usage back to normal but also saves you cash and carbon!
Are you a hairdresser? You’d probably be confused if you saw your energy usage creep up on Mondays when your salon was shut. A quick check shows your thermostat is due to come on when temperatures drop, but you don’t need to warm the salon on a Monday when you’re closed. How to Get Started
Getting started with Energy Hub is easy! If you already have a Standard or E7 smart meter installed you can access Energy Hub for free simply by logging in to MyAccount. If you don’t have a Smart, upgrading to one is easy! Simply log in to MyAccount and book a date and time that is convenient for you.
Top tip – In order to view your consumption data, you will need to set your reading preference to “Half hourly”. You can do this in MyAccount under “smart meter data preference”.
