Most local residents welcome EDF Energy's investment plans for Hinkley C

The majority of people in Sedgemoor, Taunton Deane and West Somerset, surveyed in a new poll, think that the £100 million of investment proposed by EDF Energy as part of its plans for a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point will have a positive impact on the area.

EDF Energy submits evidence to the Weightman Report

EDF Energy, the UK’s largest producer of low-carbon electricity, has made its submission to Dr Mike Weightman, HM Chief Inspector of Nuclear Installations, as part of his report on the implications for the UK nuclear industry of the incident at Fukushima.

EDF Energy to provide £100 million of lasting community investment for Hinkley Point C, including £20 million Community Fund

EDF Energy is to unveil its plans to support the community during the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point. This will include around £100 million which should be of lasting benefit for the community.
