A special fundraising performance by Scrumpy and Western Band The Wurzels will be held in Taunton, Somerset, this week, to support a group of EDF Energy employees’ endeavours in raising thousands of pounds for a local charity.

 

An education project near Swansea has been awarded £18,000 from EDF Energy towards their renewable energy project allowing them to provide training all year round.

Over £90,000 has been awarded to projects in the Suffolk Coasts & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) as part of a fund established by Sizewell B power station and further funding of up to £40,000 is available in 2013-14.

A further important milestone was reached for EDF Energy’s Nuclear New Build plans with today's granting by the Environment Agency of the three main environmental permits required for operating the proposed new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.
