A Lanarkshire school has had a visit from Scotland’s women’s curling captain for a science lesson with a difference. Eve Muirhead visited St Bride’s primary in Bothwell to talk to them about the links between sport and science.

Somerset schoolchildren asked to name giant 'bores'

THERE has already been a Mary, a Jessica and a Phyllis, now local schoolchildren are being asked to find suitable names for a trio of machines which will be burrowing beneath the Bristol Channel as part of EDF Energy’s Hinkley Point C project.

Hinkley Point C site progress

Contracts for the UK’s first new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C in Somerset were signed one year ago on September 29, 2016. EDF Energy’s latest photography and video shows the progress on site where construction is fully underway.
