Support for homelessness charity from EDF Energy

A Glasgow charity has been able to create survival kits for vulnerable homeless people after a donation by EDF Energy. The energy company has donated £8000 to the Simon Community Scotland from its Scottish Charity Fund.

Call for apprentices to join growing HPC workforce

THE opportunity to forge a career at one of Europe’s largest construction sites is on offer as an apprentice at Hinkley Point C. EDF Energy is looking for apprentices to fill a number of roles in the supply chain and engineering departments at the new nuclear power station.

EDF Energy in East Kilbride plays Secret Santa to local children

Staff at EDF Energy’s East Kilbride office have been sharing their Christmas spirit with children in the area through their annual Christmas Giving Tree. They donated 288 present to children in the area whose families are struggling financially.

Olympic boxing coach puts Bridgwater pupils through their paces

A Bridgwater school didn’t pull any punches following a visit by a Great Britain Olympic boxing coach. Lee Pullen, currently on a career break from EDF Energy, took time out from training 2020 Olympic podium hopefuls to visit the town and coach 80 students from Robert Blake Science College.

Five-star success for Torness visitor centre

Torness power station’s visitor centre has had the seal of approval from Scotland’s national tourist organisation. VisitScotland have judged that the centre and the tour of the power station should retain their five-star rating.
