Torness team celebrate long service awards

A group of workers at EDF Energy’s Torness power station have been recognised for their commitment to the nuclear industry at a lunch celebrating their long service. The twenty-nine staff at the event have clocked up a staggering 640 years’ worth of service between them.

Hartlepool maintenance to provide boost to local area

One of the two nuclear reactors at Hartlepool power station has been taken out of service for a planned £30m maintenance programme.

Around 500 extra workers will join the site’s 700-strong team during the nine-week period, providing a boost to the local economy.
