Neart na Gaoithe project enters first phase of offshore construction

One of the world’s largest offshore construction vessels has arrived at the site of the EDF Renewables and ESB owned Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) offshore wind farm, 15km off the Fife coast, as the project enters its first phase of offshore construction.

Local COVID-19 response helped by EDF Renewables community fund

Four Hillfoots community councils in Clackmannanshire are supporting a plan to re-direct local community funding from EDF Renewables Burnfoot Hill Wind Farm to support community-led Covid-19 related responses, providing an immediate funding boost of £12,000 to the local area.

EDF Group acquires 50% of the Codling offshore wind project in Ireland

The EDF Group has bought a 50% interest in the Codling offshore wind farm project in Ireland from Hazel Shore. Its subsidiary EDF Renewables, dedicated to wind and solar energy across the globe, will now partner with Fred Olsen Renewables Ltd, which already owns 50%, to develop and build this project.

EDFR signs deal with Tesco for supply of solar and wind power

EDF Renewables has signed three corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with leading multinational retailer, Tesco. 

Through these three contracts, 60 MW of renewable power will be provided to Tesco, from 17 roof-mounted solar installations and from two Scottish onshore wind farms.
